Dearest Panda,
Any type of ear infection can surely exacerbate the feelings of anxiety. An example of this can be how it can throw off your balance! Heck, even without A/P, those middle ear infections can give anyone a case of the wobbles!
I would give the medication time to get in to your body and do it's stuff, and try to exercise patience in the meantime. I know,....I know,....easier said than done!
And for goodness sake Panda, stay off the Google Monster! ;P
Some things I've found helpful for distraction include watching a movie, putting together a puzzle (one that isn't extremely difficult or would cause lots of eye strain), Mahjong, doing an arts n' crafts project, knitting or crocheting, puzzle books, colouring (I still colour to this very day!)
