I live in Indiana, and we are possibly going to get some severe weather. Do you want to know what I hate worse than anxiety? Yep..Severe weather. Watching all the storms people already got down South, is really sad. I really, really dislike bad weather. I went through a tornado when I was about 9, and I have feared them ever since. My anxiety right now is at an all time high..Just wanted to share, and get it off my chest. shakehead shocked

Oh dear, I hate severe weather too. I hope you don't get it too badly and I'm sorry your anxiety is bad. Stay safe and try not to worry - easier said than done I know. Sending hugs and prayers.

Hi Paddicake I was raised in southern Illinois and I know the storm situation well, try and keep in mind a normal tornado is
not very wide and only stay on the ground a short time, I did say
normal, ok, Praying for your Protection. Peace!

Thank you everyone. The storms have passed for now. Nothing major thankfully, but more rounds tomorrow. Larry I know they are usually short lived, but they feel like forever when your terrified and full of panic. Illinois got hit hard last storm season hope you weren't there then. I am a lot calmer now thanks again for letting me vent and be a scaredy cat.

We have many members who live in "hot spots" for various forms of rough weather, so please, please,....do continue to post and update us. Please feel free sharing, venting, and sure "freaking out" is very acceptable. That's what we as Family do....we're here for each other!

I've only been through a few tornados (well not exactly "through" them, but you know!) But when I was living in MA we got hit by some rogue ones, not to mention, living through Hurricane Sandy....(and many others previously).

Stormy weather can be scary, and even if you've always lived in in area prone to storms, of any kind, I don't think anyone ever gets used to them. Of course they're scary!

Batten down your hatches, lots of deep breaths, keep posting with us any time you need to! :)

Hi Paddicake, I live on the east coast and I know how weather effects my anxiety, when we get a bad snow storm I cant stand it. Everyone is excited about the snow and all I worry about is what if I cant get help if I need it. I feel trapped in my house and scared. I cant imagine the tornado fear, I will say a prayer for you to keep you safe.

I must say I do love a good thunderstorm!!!!!

Good Morning,

I live in MN and we get hammered by bad weather from time to time so I watch the Weather Channel and never disregard a warning.  Following all of the safety advice is always wise and from what I have heard so far this morning the state of Mississippi was hit hardest again yesterday.

You can always come here and vent your fears as we understand.

I hope everyone is okay from all those storms yesterday. Thankfully, I didn't get much of them, as I said I truly freak out. I don't know how some of you can go through the hurricanes, etc. I'm not bad with little thunderstorms. I am terrified of the ones that bring the strong winds, and chance of tornaodes. Praying that everyone got through the storms safely. Once again, I thank all of you for being here for me, because nobody I am around is afraid like I am, and they tell me to relax..

I am so glad that all of our members, so far, have been safe!!

I checked in on my niece, her husband and my nephews (who are in Arkansas) the day before yesterday.

Their area was expected to be hit, but was spared!!

Many prayers to the victims, families and all those affected by these storms.
