Hi MM and welcome back!!
When I read 35 weeks I thought I was sleeping beauty and had just woken up.
In older adults, a hip fracture is most often a result of
a fall from a standing height. In people with very weak bones, a hip fracture
can occur simply by standing on the leg and twisting. A stress fracture is a
hairline crack in the bone that develops because of repeated or prolonged
forces against the bone.
Some people with a stress fracture are able to walk
however they have pain. If you have been
in an accident then it is most commonly a trauma fracture.
Whether you fell because you experienced a stress
fracture or if you fell and fractured your hip is a great question for your
ortho physician as I truly do not know the answer. If you find out the answer let us all know.
Meanwhile, know you are never alone, we are here for you
and whatever PT you have to go through will help you heal so be strong.
Kindly,
Kitt
