Lexapro 10mg side effects

Yeah I know the docs really don't like to give that stuff over here because they know how addictive it can be but its a bit stupid really when it can help someone for a week or two.

I am glad you feel good today Kela :) It is nice just to be able to go out and do basic stuff isnt it. I took 15 mg for the first time this morning and had a little nap this afternoon and woke up feeling not too bad so we will see what happens.

I am so glad you are feeling good :)

I am on day two of 15 mg and have not felt any different yet or had any weird side effects but I know it is early. I just had my 2nd CBT appointment and the lady I see if really nice and took the time to print off some information about depersonalization too which will be a nice read.

She wants me to practice some breathing exercises for the next week and see how I get on with them. I am totally sure we are all going to get through this together.

She gave me a list of breathing exercises and said to try them all and see which one works best for me so I need to try them all out a bit more really. Yeah I love the birds singing too although they sound a lot better when you are not feeling depressed lol

I decided to take 20 mg today as not many people it seems take 15 mg and I still feel quite depressed so I figured I may as well just up it to 20 mg. My head feels really cloudy this morning but then again I seem to get that a lot with the depression, I don't have the increased anxiety yet which is something I am anticipating but hopefully it will be a smooth transition up to 20 mg.

I always wake up in the middle of the night lol, I have never taken bendryl before bed before although I would not rule it out because I have heard it can help too. It cant do any harm can it?

Hey Sean thats great news!! I have been feeling better too the day before I didnt need any X and yesterday I took 3/4 of an X i guess this is a good sign!

R u doing the breathing exercises? How are those helping?

Erm not yet because I still feel spaced out. I want to see how the next few days pan out on 20 mg and go from there really.

Oh that is really good hun. I am going to try go back next week if I can but I am not going to rush. I have a birthday gig tonight and it is a bit further away then I usually do my gigs so I am nervous......felt a bit weird last night which is kinda how I felt on the start up of these tablets but I just want to get the 20 mg in my system asap really.

Ah Sean sorry to hear that maybe it's because u up to a whole 10mgs instead of 5mgs, can u call ur Dr and ask? Try to visualize, breathing exercises reading or playing a game to take ur mind off of it. Walking us also great too, being outside. How is the weather across the pond today

Sean, the main thing is u got through the night!! Friends r awesome!!! I have been doing pretty well last night I took 15mg and didnt have to take an X today! Yeah!! I took 15 last night cuz ive noticed one day I am goid next day anxious.
I think u should talk to dr and let her know u went up to 20. I thinkh should only go up in 5mg at s time that could be the weird effects.

It does take time I guess, what did you doctor say? I went up to 15 and then stupidly went up to 20 too soon and felt terrible so I have gone back to 10 for the past 6 days and feel a bit better but not much. I think I would have been on the tablets for 6 weeks on Sunday which is worrying lol

I am planning to go back to work on Monday because I think all this staying at home is keeping the depersonlization going so I know it is something I have to do and oh I have a date on Sunday so maybe things are looking up. Yes I have my own DJ business and I only do private parties so it is quite fun.

Today was a really bad day and still is as the spaced out feelings are terrible and anxiety is really high, prob one of the worst days I have had so far. I have been on these tablets for 5 weeks now and I just dont think they are working for me which is worrying as that is two SSRI'S in a row that have not worked.

I constantly feel like I am going crazy and I honestly don't know what to do, I know I should go back to my doctors but this depersonalization is paralysing me and I am finding it hard to function at all.

I am going to have to cancel my date because I just cannot function. I am glad you are okay and doing good though as this makes me happy.

3.5 weeks on lexapro and still can't sleep. I've been on it less than a year ago(for 7 years) and was able to but now I'm takikng a generic and hope this isn't making the difference. Started on 10mg for 2 weeks, .50 klonopin in am (which I split) and .50 trazadone and .50 klonopin at night to sleep..I slept ok till I went to 20mg. Now I am taking .25 klonopin in am .25 klonopin in miday and .50 trazadone at night..still no sleep..Doc said to call and let him know and he will add .50 klonopin for night along with trazadone..I am worried-what if I can't sleep with meds now? I know this is a side effect of SSRI's and I've been able to go without after a while but can't remember how long it takes. Waking 6 times a night is not good even though I feel ok the next day. I don't want to be dependent on drugs to sleep once lexapro kicks in all the way..any encouragmenet will help please.

This drug does not make me sleepy so I am taking in the am..
