Just a note it might help someone. My daughter got sick 9 months ago cronic fatigue and anxiety . But now it's all gone. She was a real mess. No school no leaving the house. All it was , was stomach bugs Dientamoeba and blastocystis Two weeks after antibiotics lost the panics. I didn't know bugs could do that. tongue turn

I did not know this either. Going to do a little reading up on it now however!

Of course any physical illness that brings us down can lower our resistance to use our coping skills, and deal with anxiety/panic...but I will be interested to look these two particular parasites (?) up...and learn of their correlation to A/P.

I am glad to hear that she is doing well now!

It is true that a bug can cause anxiety. That is what happened to me. I was completely fine and all of a sudden, anxiety and panic attack hit me. My doctor told me that he really believed that the anxiety was the result of some kind of other problem and sure enough after a ton of work ups done, they found that I had an h.pylori overgrowth in my stomach. Since being treated for the h.pylori, I've been feeling much better. I cant say my anxiety is completely gone but it is much better. I think that because I started having anxiety do to the bad bacteria, it just going to take time to really get over it. Its good you figured out what the problem was and hope she continues to stay healthy.

Koch, I'm glad you guys found out what it was that was triggering the anxiety and fatigue.

I too suffer from severe anxiety and I have stomach issues. I feel that the physical sensations of anxiety far outweigh what is happening on the inside (my head). I'm in therapy and we have made big strides, but the physical sensation won't stop and it's becoming debilitating -- I get tired, anxious, nauseous, etc. I also have an ulcer in my esophagus. But I've had these symptoms for years.

I've read a little about h.pylori, but my ulcer was caused (most probably) by anti-inflamatories (but I've had stomach problems sense I was a kid).

Thanks for posting though, gives me hope.

Try looking at the badbugs site done by Jackie Delaney in Sydney you may recognise something
I believe I picked up the bugs in childhood felt sick and fatigued my whole life. My daughter actually relapsed into anxiety after a week . We believe the antibiotics didn"t kill them all. Am waiting to talk to specialist in Sydney{only 4000 km from us} She is taking an antihistermine called periactin This stopped the anxiety straight away The problem is your body builds up an immunity to it after three months. So we've got three months to kill the bugs.

Thanks evrybody for your help A quick note my daughter actually got sick again We finally worked it out It was POTS syndrome Every thing was covered by this She,s off to the specialist. Easy to test for if your pulse is really fast when you stand up you need to get it checked out

I am glad that you got a diagnoses for your daughter. That is one more step toward getting her health managed
