I'm going to have a slightly different perspective/take on this, so please bear with me, as we're all just sharing our personal thoughts.
I'm also a CP patient, so I'm more familiar than I wish I were with things regarding physical pain and the disruption they cause in our lives.
So, in that regard, I'll share with you what I personally would do. I would make the time to get the x-rays done, and make the time for PT sessions. Some therapists do 30 minute sessions, and some can range up to 90 minutes. But 30 minutes twice a week would be reasonable.
The reason I'm approaching this from the other side is because by ignoring it, choosing to do nothing, giving the muscle relaxants only two doses from which to form an immediate opinion as to whether or not they're working, isn't fair to your body, and,....as such, may not be in your best interest.
I understand we're here to support each other in whatever choices we're make, so with respect, I'm presenting my thoughts.
One must sometimes weigh the factors,....which is more time consuming: Taking a few moments out periodically to get quality diagnostics and PT to physically manage our symptoms? Or foregoing all of that and risk something progressing to the point that you may lose time from work, mobility, or require surgery because of neglect.
Just sharing my experience because I postponed too long getting some things tended to, and now I've learned my lesson and I've become hyper-vigilant. If I can share anything it would be that I learned this the hard way, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
We never have time for illnesses, but they always have time for us....
