It seems lately I have been waking up early and worrying about
everything negative. Like what if I lose my job and have no money to support myself. I kinda take it from there and it spins into a big old mess of " what if...."
It's always something negative. I'm on an anti depressant and it seems to be working less and less. I have a doctor that is very unavailable and I'd like to change but the price is right and I can't afford to hop around and try out new doctors. The same mental health group has 80 percent of all the doctors for the area.
I panic when I go to the doctor as well.
I do have so many things to be grateful for but I tend to over look them recently.
I feel like I need an advocate to help me with the doctor and the medicine thing.
I'm trying but I'm getting no where.

Hi WLL.
I am sorry that you are dealing with this currently. It is all too easy to wake up in the middle of the night and worry about
things! With no distractions, or ways to get out of your head, the worries can flood in.:(
A couple of things that have helped me with this issue.
*Mantras:
This is great for redirecting your thoughts and getting back to sleep. I repeat to myself:
"It is not time to worry about
that now."
Then tell yourself that you will set aside some 'constructive worry'/problem solving time during the day to work on these thoughts.
The other thing that you can then do is use some of the
*Therapy
worksheet
downloads in our Resources (let me know if you'd like me to provide a link and I will) to really break down your most troublesome concerns. This will probably lessen the power they have at night.
I hope that you find relief from this soon, and can get the rest that you need! :)

Hate that! I use SC's mantra and promise myself I can worry about
in the morning. When morning comes I am asking myself- what was all that about
- I can handle this.

hi wanna,
i used to have that worrying at night about
things. especially waking up in the middle of the night. i would imagine the worst possible outcomes. but then when morning came my worries all seemed silly.
there are many techniques to put yourself back to sleep. i try a simple deep breathing and relaxation routine that sends me off to slumberland every time.
i hope you find some relief. people on this board do care and have lots of ideas to help you.
love,
rich
