dentist appt. major anxiety

ok just went to the dentist had myself worked up all day for a filling have been done for about 30 minutes and felt relaxed took my pulse and it's super fast so now I can't relax I'm done why is my pulse racing still? I even took half a klonopin first which did not do anything and I had him give me novacaine without adrenaline

II honestly tried breathing techniques I tried to tell myself it was nothing everything and I still freaked myself out I don't know why but once again yes I kind of felt when he was drilling. I don't know if he just doesn't give me enough novacane or what but it makes me crazy because I don't want to feel anything. but no matter what I tell myself I still get freaked out I had anticipatory anxiety all day up until my appointment at 4
