Hello everyone
I just wanted to share in hopes that I am not the only one who is dealing with this awful morning time anxiety thing.
I have been on Celexa (very low dose around 3 mg) for close to two months now, and it has been working WONDERS for my panic disorder. I used to get several attacks per day, and I am now down to about
3 per week! Yay! I haven't needed to use my prn xanax in over 2 weeks now. So I am definitely getting there… BUT I have been thrown into this crazy morning anxiety spiral. It seems that every time I wake up, I wake with crazy butterflies in my stomach as if I am nervous or anxious for something (even if I have nothing going on or just work to go to.) I know we wake up with a shot of cortisol from our lovely hormone producing bodies, and I have been trying to wake up and do some deep breathing, I drink water and try to eat something small right away.
I don't have a full out panic attack usually, it's more like a generalized anxiety feeling… typically it passes within 2 hours or so from waking up.. mainly just the butterflies feeling, nervousness, "edgy-ness", and anxiety feelings..
Does anyone else get this? I have yet to talk to my psychiatrist about
this the next time I see him. Just want to make sure I am not going crazy here, because other than that I have been making good progress for myself. Any tips on how to control these funny feelings?
