Kitt to be absent most of Wednesday

A short update - my oncologist has ordered a venogram for me on Wednesday so I will be away for most of the day.

My Dr. expected the facial swelling to return to normal by now as it has been 15 days since this problem  started.  Even being on blood thinners and having my Power Port removed I still have swelling in my neck and face along with mouth sores.

Have I ever told you how I hate cancer or how sad it makes me feel or how afraid I am.  I am doing my best to stay in the moment but the moments when I do not feel well go so slowly and the moments I feel good fly by.

I try not to let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.

Let us know, as soon as you feel up to it, how you are doing. I hope this will get you some answers so they can help you better. The waiting isn't easy either I know. Is there anything to pamper yourself that you can plan for tomorrow later? Something special so you can feel good for a little while?

I don't know what it is you're going for but I wish you all the best for a positive outcome.

I will keep you in my daily prayers. I cannot imagine living with the fear you have. Do you have any counseling? I have trouble trying to live in the moment with problems less than yours.

I feel for you Kitt. I wish you peace.

Kitt, what a true Gem you are, always thinking of others, even in your darkest hours. You are human with human feeling and naturally you are afraid. Most people would be! I do not know how I would be in your shoes truly...thank you for always being there, but know that you MUST allow yourself to have your moments too. Remember that you are so LOVED!

I am praying for you to feel God holding your right hand tight in His. You have many prayer warriors. This swelling is just a weed in your journey. I know you've had your share of weeds but you ARE prevailing, even in your darkest hours. You are not alone.

Good Morning All,

I am sitting here practicing staying in the moment.  I need to leave home at 0930 to be at the Hospital by 1015.  The hospital wants you to be there 2 hours before your scheduled procedure time to do the prep and paper work.

I am taking all of you with me and right before I receive the sedation I will think of all of you supporting me and know in my heart I will be OK.

No tears this morning - just sitting here with all of you.

Good Morning my dear friends,

I had an unsuccessful angiogram yesterday.  The clot is in the SVC - the superior vena cava moves blood from the upper half of the body to the heart.

 

The Dr. discovered my clot is quite long and starts in the superior vena cave but extends into the right  atrium of my heart - so the angiogram was aborted.

cry cry cry

 

You cannot safely use one of the clot buster meds to break up a clot in the inside of one of your heart chambers.

 

So you wait and hope the clot will be absorbed by the body and you continue to receive shots of Lovenox ( blood thinner) twice daily.

 

My emotions are all over the place  including anger, resentment, guilt, anxiety| and fear and this deep feeling of sadness.

 

Tomorrow back to the hospital for a heart MRI.

 

For now I will be here with all of you and remember each of us must have some rain with our sunshine.

I know that this is not what you wanted the outcome to be...

....it is especially hard after getting all mentally/physically prepared for the procedure.

Naturally your emotions are going to be all over the place...and back again a couple of times.

You will get to a place of being ready to take the next step though, I know it.

For now we pray that the clot just up and dissapears. It can happen...and we are gonna name it and claim it!!

Some snail mail coming your way...hopefully by tomorrow, but maybe Saturday.

I am so sorry as well Kitt. At this moment, my own thought patterns are firing all over because I care so much for you, that I have this need inside to know what to say and do to help and be there for you.

You've become my own little personal Angel along the way....
