Good Morning my dear friends,I had an unsuccessful angiogram yesterday. The clot is in the SVC - the superior vena cava moves blood from the upper half of the body to the heart.
The Dr. discovered my clot is quite long and starts in the superior vena cave but extends into the right atrium of my heart - so the angiogram was aborted.
You cannot safely use one of the clot buster meds to break up a clot in the inside of one of your heart chambers.
So you wait and hope the clot will be absorbed by the body and you continue to receive shots of Lovenox ( blood thinner) twice daily.
My emotions are all over the place including anger, resentment, guilt, anxiety| and fear and this deep feeling of sadness.
Tomorrow back to the hospital for a heart MRI.
For now I will be here with all of you and remember each of us must have some rain with our sunshine.
Love,
Kitt
