Worst anxiety after a night of drinking.

Last night I drank some beers and I haven't done that in a year, and today my anxiety is bad. I will not do that again. shakehead

Hi deborahscinder,

I'm sorry you're having anxiety today but I'm glad that you're able to identity that the beers may have been a trigger so you can eliminate them and hopefully minimize your anxiety.

I'm sending some hugs your way in case you need them.

My husband went out for an overnight date/birthday celebration and in addition to two mixed drinks, we shared a bottle of wine with dinner...

This is A LOT for me.

Needless to say, yesterday I was gifted with the dizzies all day...an old anxiety 'friend' that I have to battle from time to time.;p

Like you said...lesson learned, Lol!!

...oh, one more thing...

I don't know if you take meds, but if you do, this can exacerbate the effects. (SSRI's can both intensify the effects of the alcohol...and the alcohol can render your Rx less effective...double whammy!)

...and benzos should NEVER be mixed with alcohol.

I don't take meds, but the after effects...dehydration, fatigue, dizziness/nausea can be enough to trigger anxiety.
