Difficulty swallowing keeps coming and going

Sick of my constant post nasal drip symptoms, I gave up and returned to my Gaviscon Advance a few days ago, as well as stopping my hayfever tablets. Since yesterday morning I've had difficulty swallowing again; I tried to eat soup and even that got stuck. It's scaring me that this has come back again, and I have no idea why. I used to only take Gaviscon once or twice a day like I am now, and this never happened-! What can I do?!

I know that when I feel very anxious my throat dries up and I can't swallow. Maybe you have dry mouth from the prescriptions you take, many med cause dry mouth. Try using a dry mouth mouth wash that will moisturize your mouth.

I know that when my post nasal drip is excessive, it also ends up irritating my throat and causes inflammation. You may try nasal flushes with pure saline water and see if that helps?
