hi yes I do have anxiety issues and they seem to go really bad when my routine is changed and my family go away I dread the thought that my grandsons wont be here for 2 weeks im dreading it thinking of how to make the time go quick when they go I cry my heart beats faster I hate it to the point it destroys me and my focus on life I don't know why
I find doing relaxation exercises to help a lot. I do autogenics or progressive muscle relaxation for half an hour lying down. It is a process of relaxing the muscles in your body and as you do this it switches off the sympathetic nervous system - basically it will relax your mind too.
Do it as often as you need, at times I have done it 4-5x a day just to keep the anxiety in check.
Also its good to try and do things to take your mind off it, you can't ignore anxiety totally but you can think of it as 'putting it in a box' for a while to do something else.
