ZolOff...have been on the meds for 32 years....

I thank you for posting how to wean off of this medication. I have as you call them 'brain zaps' - but I call them sinking feelings - lack of a better description.
I will continue reading the posts about weaning off and the results, plus add my experience with coming off this drug. My body has said for years to 'get off of this stuff' but I didn't know how after have the sinking feelings - they are scary. But I am going to start weaning tomorrow! :)

I slowly took myself off of Zoloft about 6 months ago now after about 6 years of use. I never had the brain zaps - had some rough days but the Zoloft itself was causing rough days with panic, so I was able to deal with the remainder. I am considering trying something else...as of now I have Klonopin as needed for panic. Unfortunately I find that I am using it more than I would like so am considering going back on a daily med for anxiety/panic that isn't habit forming...any suggestions would be welcome.
