i'm having a real hard time believing in a Higher Power. this is key to the 12 step programs i am in. i keep searching for some proof in a Higher Power but can't seem to find any.

still nervous about work. i don't like my boss. i have to watch it or i will get so resentful i won't even talk to him and that will be bad for me. i can't help thinking how much the work situation reminds me of growing up with 2 parents who were critical and rarely gave praise.

i'm also nervous about the passport thing. just afraid something will go wrong when i go to order one, or that it won't arrive in time before my trip.

those are the things that weigh on my mind. also, there is a lot of work on my desk that i don't seem to have the time to get to.

Forget whether or not the boss praises you...praise yourself...you are in a 12 step program and that is something to pat yourself on the back for. I have my own ideas regarding spiritual matters...God (or whatever you call the I AM) loves us no matter what and no matter how much we think we screw up - so don't even worry about that. We are here to learn, and to LOVE. Start by loving yourself today. Smile at the sunshine, or even the rain - what an amazing planet we share. Sing a song (even if it's only to yourself) at work - it makes things much nicer. Stop worrying about what the boss thinks - do your job as best as you can, it will be noticed. Do something nice for yourself and for someone else - it WILL BE A GREAT DAY!

Whenever I'm feeling down, I have to kick myself because there is always someone having a harder time in life than me. Count the blessings you do have. Some people don't even have a job to go to.

Let's put religion aside for a moment, and take a scientific look at "higher power" and what it may mean.

Some force created this universe of ours....it continues to change, expand, warp, dip and bend....space is mobile. We evolved as living creatures, all of us. We started from something, somewhere.

We have a consciousness, and that is what makes us so unique from each other. Where does that consciousness reside, and where does it go, and what can it do? We don't know.

There is no 'proof' of where this energy develops or goes to.

It's possible to think of "God" in terms of that, the power, the higher power, which created this universe and let nature take it from there.

It doesn't have to get heavy with doctrine. Just acknowledging that there's more out there than what you realize, and that you, yourself, privately, did not create the universe.....

Higher Power is whatever you want and need it to be and goes by many names.

I'm at a loss of words right now-but I will put you in my prayers so that you may find peace in God. If I didn't have my belief I don't know what I'd do. It is so great to Let go & Let God in so many situations. May you find His peace.

God is always there , he is just wAiting on you , call on him ......I mean really call on him , we all go through ..... Doesn't mean he is not there ....
