Feel like I can't breathe! Fighting the panic.

OK everyone, I KNOW in my head, that I am breathing just fine. I can take deep breaths but for some reason find myself struggling here. I feel like panic is on my back and will attack any second now. I have read something about. Scaredy Cat helped a lot by telling me about divided breathing - but at this very moment, while I am at work, I am having trouble doing that. The tightness in my shoulders and chest tells me that this is anxiety driven but get that THROUGH MY HEAD! Don't even know if Klonopin will help.

I'm just like that Reepin. If I am not completely occupied, my mind wanders and my breathing gets bad. Even though I rarely trust my own words, I would say that your trouble breathing is for sure related to anxiety. Do some of your breathing exercises and take a Klonopin if you find you're struggling too much. I have a babysitter for my son right now and am lying in bed trying to read a book and relax, but unfortunately I am also being drawn to focus on my breathing. It's not fun. I feel your discomfort.

You guys are wonderful! It helps so much, just knowing that others are or have gone through the many symptoms of anxiety/panic. I'm hoping that I can retire within the next 2 years - not sure if being at home is better or not (LOL). I don't know how young moms (tiredstressddone) cope. I am no longer taking daily meds and hold off on taking the Klonopin. I took 1/4 of one this morning but it didn't cut it.
