this drug works wonders for me. as a long time anxiety sufferer its a god send. i was put on ativan by my gp and nearly became addicted. benzos work great but are addicting. buspar isnt and works just well enough so you dont need anything stronger. some people dont have good results but for me its a god send. ask your dr to try it. i get by with 1/2 the recommended dose usually. its gentle enough that you can still function. great stuff!!

Wow. That's awesome! I did try Buspar but had different results. It made me feel very high haha
That just goes to show how medications can work so differently for people.

Dan- that's wonderful it's working for you. My 2 friends take it and swear by it. I was on it about 3 months but it didn't do anything for me. Nothing bad, just nothing lol.

Busbar never helped me at all, I remember I was in a rehab type situation and they would give your meds before you went to meetings, I literally couldn't stay awake.

I know a lot of certain mental health providers will not subscribe benzo's and your only choice is busbar.

Very thankful it has worked for you, I have a whole bottle in my medicine cabinet along with all the other medication that I couldn't take, wish there was a place you could donate medication that you couldn't use, maybe they could give it to people without insurance, but then what would they do when they run out?

I'm glad that you found something that has worked well for you and we always appreciate sharing information.

Just a little side note,.....it's important we all keep in mind that one person's "bad" experience with any med of any sort (such as benzos) does not necessarily mean that is the wrong choice for someone else. We support individual's choices of treatment when they're following their doctor's advice.

The good news is that you found a med that's successful for you, and we have many people who take it, or who are thinking of taking it and have questions ahead of time. This is a wonderful Go-To place for people to learn!
