5 days on Lexapro and bad anxiety attack

I see now that you have only been on lexapro for 5 days, so that really isn't very long, and I know typically a doctor will tell you that you can have increased anxiety at first. I am assuming you have suffered with panic attacks before, are they worse than a "normal" panic attack?

You really need to speak to your doctor, only he can really tell you if that could be considered a normal reaction to this medication at first, every ones body seems to work so differently on medications.

If it gets too bad for you, I would go to the ER(if you can't get a hold of your Dr.), the only thing with that is they may just tell you to stop taking the medication, but they also should know if it considered a normal symptom or not.

Beth I agree, it's best you talk to your dr. You will feel better after you discuss the things about your med and symptoms.
