Hello all,
After weeks of racy ,poundy heart and pain in arms now my symptom has changed to severe anxiety when i am in middle of sleep or just after waking up with racy mind rather than heart .

Does anyone else have it or i am going crazy !

Yes! As I found myself more easily managing my anxiety during my waking hours...

...I found the nocturnal panic attacks setting in.

You may want to look at this as a step in the process of your recovery journey.

As you continue, you should find the night time episodes fading as well.

Use the same coping skills to get you through!

i guess its brain acting up on us when we sleep as awake we have quite a bit of control ~so strange and new for me .

Hello Cilly

I just wanted to check in with you to see how you're doing... Has the late-night anxiety let up or are you still experiencing it?

It's the worlds worst when you wake up suddenly with a racing heart. I think all of us has experienced that and it's no picnic.

I pay close attention to my diet in the evenings such as eliminating fatty foods, caffeine, and chocolate and this has seemed to help my midnight "episodes".

Oh my goodness, THANK YOU for posting this. :) I have been waking up in the middle of the night completely panicked. My dreams are playing into it too. I keep having dreams that I am at the doctor's office and that my heart is failing and I wake up convinced that it was really happening! It's so confusing! I guess I need to figure out how to incorporate coping skills into my dreams!

Funny you mentioned that TMA! I had a dream last night where I was in a fight and I woke up elbowing the pillow! Good thing I was sleeping on the couch because my wife could have been caught in the line of fire! I can myself trying to explain that one to my in-laws!

But it seems that my dreams have been playing a part of my " episodes" as well. I take seroquel before bed and having vivid dreams is a side effect.
