I just want to say how lucky I am to have the wife that I do. She is an amazing woman and always has supported me. She has been there for me through the good, the bad, and the ugly. She has ran me to the ER in the early hours in the morning numerous times. She constantly monitors me and makes sure I am taking my medication on time. When things get bad she always reassures me that its going to be alright. She has allowed me to rest way more than I what I ought to in the last few months..... She gets our kids off to school each and every day, works during the day and then cheerleading practice in the evening. She is a super woman!
I am so blessed that God literally sent me an angel. I don't deserve her but I hope and pray that I can give back to her all that she has given to me.
I would love to hear about
your all's significant other! A good support system is key when you're facing anxiety.

Cornell, this is such a nice thread. My husband is also an angel. He helps so much with our son, has sacrificed much personal time to be with me and make me feel safe, he takes time away from his busy job when I need him and he reminds me always that he won't let anything bad happen to me. He has had to take me to the ER quote a bit lately and while I cry and apologize, he just reassures me that I have nothing to apologize for. I don't know what I would do with him. I find that it's very natural for women to be caring and nurturing, but when my husband takes care of me this way, I know how blessed I am. He is so patient and understanding.

Awwwww! This is so great you guys:) I think we can all agree that having a supportive spouse makes this disorder just a little bit easier to handle. I know my hubby wants me to get better just as much as I want to get better. And having that is something I will always be grateful for.

That is awesome T&S! You are so blessed! It's funny because I have 3 young daughters and I worry about
them finding a good man one day. A good man ( or woman) is hard to find... Someone who will truly love them unconditionally and treat them like a lady. I have a lot of gray hair in my future!
So happy for you T&S!!!!!

I'd like to share in this joy right along with you! I also truly believe I married an Angel. My Hubby has stuck by my side through some very rough tides with dreadful currents. We've had our ups and downs, but by golly, we pulled through it.
I remember one time I thanked him for sticking by me and being so strong. And he said to me: "I" didn't do it,..."we" are doing it together!
(Awww!) How wonderful is that.
So huzzah for all our wonderful spouses, partners, friends and family. Great thread! :)

Rr, momt, M, and SC ..... I'm so glad that you too have spouses/ family that support and care for you deeply.
One thing I just remembered is that one night I was scared to go to sleep. I was afraid I would quit breathing during the night. My wife told me to sleep and that she would stay awake to make sure I was breathing. I woke up several times during the night an every time I woke up she was awake and "on guard"!
She married a nut! I am so glad she puts up with me because noone else would.... She is my rock! I would be lost with out her

Cornell, I've had a similar experience!! I was certain something bad was going to happen to me and I was terrified to fall asleep because I felt so sick and my sweet husband said the same thing to me. He told me to rest and that I would feel better after some sleep and that he would stay awake and keep an eye on me. Just knowing that he was looking out for me, I feel instantly asleep and he was right; the next morning I got to start over and felt much better. You don't worry about
those daughters of yours. There are still wonderful men out there. Tell them to always give people a chance, even if it doesn't seem like it would work out. My husband and I are polar opposites as far as interests go for the most part, I didn't have an instant attraction to him and my gut reaction was to say no when he was asking me out, but we became friends and I have it a chance and thank the good Lord I did! He is my best-friend, my sanity, my rock, my partner and one of the soulmates that God has put in my life.

I love reading about
all the wonderful partners you all have! I think it is also fantastic that you all realize it and don't take it for granted.
Oh, and Cornell, you sound like an awesome father/husband that is modeling a great example for your girls. I'm sure they will end up with a great partner one day too!

MissGigi, thank you so much for those kind words. It's so refreshing to come to a place where everyone is a friend who we can truly share our troubles with and a place where we aren't judged but instead offered words of encouragement. I am blessed to be among all of you!

What a great thread Cornell. It's always nice to hear when a husband appreciates all the hard work that the wife puts in. A woman, by her God-given nature, is a nurturer. Sounds like you do have quite a wonderful wife!
I'll just take a second to be thankful for my husband. While he's not a big nurturer, he does try his darndest to understand what I am going through. He never quite gets it, but oh well! He has always been there for me through this anxiety and before this anxiety surfaced. He's not an emotional guy, which is perfect because I am too much of an emotional lady. He keeps me in check when I am so worried about
my health. He points me to Bible passages when I am at my worst. He's a great Dad to our children too. He would let me rest if I could just sit down and rest, but I am too much of a busy bee most of the time. But when my anxiety was at it's worst, he did allow me to lay in bed on a lot of days when I just couldn't get out of bed.
Praise God for the strength he gives me through my husband. *End rant. :)

Tma,
Thanks for your post... You are very blessed! You don't only have a good, supportive husband but also a Godly husband so you get the best of both worlds!
I guess I am "old school" but I truly believe in the saying that "a husband and wife that's prays together, stays together".
So happy for you TMA!
