Gilbert's syndrome anyone?

Just wondering if anyone here is aware of having it. My bilirubin was always high but my doctors always brushed it off until a recent doctor mentioned that I have the syndrome. I'm not at all surprised because my mother has it and it is hereditary. I've read some interesting things lately about the syndrome, and there seems to be some feeling that it is possible for it to contribute to many of the symptoms I, and others with anxiety experience, even though it's supposedly a fairly symptom free condition according to the medical community.

Just wondering if anyone else was aware of having it. It's apparently common, 5%-10% of people are said to have it.

It's actually a liver thing. The liver has faulty genes kind of and doesn't properly get rid of bilirubin from the bloodstream. The main symptoms are occasional yellowing of the skin, and in some people sensitivity to certain medications, specifically Tylenol. Apparently it's easier for people with this syndrome to hit toxicity levels with Tylenol compared to people without it. There is debate it seems when it comes to other symptoms being caused or worsened by it so I wondered if anyone else here with anxiety happened to have it. Thanks for your reply SC!
