Does anyone see a psych dr that only does med management?

I only see my pdoc for medication. I've only seen him two times and he just continued me on the medication I was already taking (buspar and xanax). But he did suggest an antidepressant, if I wanted to go in that direction. I actually wanted to see a pdoc for my meds instead of my GP because I wanted to see someone that specialized in psychiatric medicine. But, this doctor works in conjunction with my therapist, so he pretty much goes off of the therapists notes. So he is informed of what's going on and my progress and what not.
I think a psych nurse sounds great! You have to do what you are comfortable with. I do have to say though, with a lot of this medication, nobody can gage how your body will react. One med might have terrible side effects for some and none on others. It's just impossible to know.
