I'm sorry girl! I used to freak out over twitches too. I get them on my eyes, cheeks and forearms.
Just to save you from Dr Google, I've googled allllll abt those twitches and they mean nothing. They're often caused by lack of sleep, dehydration & stress. They can also be benign, meaning no cause. But they literally are harmless and don't mean anything bad.
My sister is a physician & I've asked her before and she says the same thing- benign.
With that being said, I forget what you're doing for your anxiety? I know you're in therapy but are you taking any meds like an antidepressant or an anti anxiety like xanax?
There is a great, easy relaxation technique I use that really helps. I've shared it before so forgive me if I've already told you.
Lay on your back. Relax your body as much as possible. Start with your feet and tense them up as hard and long as you can (I curl and squeeze my toes). After holding, let the tension go and relax. Do this with your calves (careful not to get a charley horse lol), knees, thighs, stomach, arms, shoulders, and face. I almost fall asleep doing this relaxation exercise.
Sorry your anxiety is so high, I've been there, Lord have mercy have I been there. I used xanax for my bad days and talked out loud to reason with myself. I also journaled in my worst days. My therapist is giving me good advice too.
Sending you much peace and healing!!!
