I feel so bad now :( about this fear - [title change]

And I always think that catastrohic thought of getting some specific cancer types, even though there are worse conditions out there...

The thing makes me upset is, I can never run away from the medical info i am keeping myself away from. Even though i dont google things. This is so unfair...
I was just reading a newspaper article and bam, read the text about how people with ovarian C. Have experienced lots of gas and lower abdominal pain... which i usually always have. Now i started thinking about this.

This is so freakin unfair... :/

Anyone know some reassuring facts about ovarian cancer? I need to relieve my mind really :(
I know that it's not common with woman before menopause, but...

I have gas and abdominal pain frequently but after years of suffering with this, I realize it's just the effect my health anxiety has on my stomach and intestines. I'm sure that's what you're going through but we health anxiety sufferers always think the worst, don't we. Stay strong, think strong, and you'll be strong.

Health anxiety is a real pain to deal with try and stay in the moment the best you can and know that anxiety can cause all sorts of symptoms and is good at mimicking other things. If you are still really anxious I would suggest that a trip to see your doctor may be in order and ease your mind.

Thank you guys. My lower abdominal pressure/pain and gurgling gas comes and goes actually (though frequently) but lately i have been feeling slightly bloated.

I booked a time with gyn at 25th for ultrasound control anyways, i had my last control in 2009, in any case this will be a normal check up.
If bad things show up during during routine gyn ultrasound, that is...

Yeah I really do fear now, since I have uncomfortable pressure/pain in my mid lower belly (pelvic area) :((

It was this EXACT fear, ovarian cancer, that sent me to the psychiatrist last year to have my meds changed bc I could not stop obsessing about it and was getting depressed.

I saw the gynecologist, had vaginal ultrasounds, etc & I had NO issues. I had the bloating and gas you mentioned and the Dr told me ppl with that symptom of ovarian cancer have it chronic, all day, all night, NO relief. That reassured me bc my bloating and gas was not 24/7...

I hope that can help you. When do you see your gyno next? Having everything checked out did help.

My pelvic discomfort is not 24/7 but frequently, like once a week or so, maybe? But I have gas almost all the time but we have it in family anyways. Bloating I don't get too often either, but sometimes I feel distention in my abdomen, especially if I am having excessive gas, which is regular. :(
Just scared I don't know.
I talked to my mom and she tried to reassure by saying the same thing if it's not all the time its ok she said. And actually we have NO single person in the family with any cancer history, she said. Not only the female issues. And she said I am still young (38) to be in the high risk group, she said.

But the OC being symptomless and being misdiagnosed with digestive issues and such bothers me a lot.
I have my appt. at 25th November and have to wait until then. And I heard that even with vaginal ultrasounds and such can't detect it, is it true?


My only relief would be if I don't have this feeling everyday. Then I will be calmed down...
