I used to take Effexor and took it in the mornings but if you are working nightshifts I would take it before you goto work. It is important that what ever you decide that you then take the med at the same time every day.

Faith, you're asking a really good question. I'm not on the same med as you, but I've been in similar circumstances when I worked nights. It really does take some planning and adjusting to figure out the right schedule for you.

Have you mentioned the work schedule to your doc to get some suggestions?

I find that with some meds, it's just more appropriate to take them at various times during the day, so again, good question to ask! :)
