So the stool test showed nothing and he bloodwork only showed a little dehydration. So now I wait to talk to the GI doctor next week and pray I don't catch my nephews stomach virus in the process.
I know I should feel relieved, but I'm still so anxious about
what's causing this. Oh well, right?

Park,
It's a double-edged sword. You almost want something to be at least a little wrong so you know how to attack it and beat it like it owes you money.
I've had EGDs, upper GIs, gastric emptying studies, barium swallows, yadda yadda.

Haha! Exactly! It doesn't help my anxiety any either, because I feel like I'm dealing with some mystery illness. I'm just supposed to wait and see when my stomach feels this bad? Ugh. I certainly don't look forward to going out to a restaurant or going to a friend's home for a meal! No way! I suppose this could just be an IBS flare up, but something feels different this time. I'm anticipating the GI doc wanting to do a colonoscopy. My GP also said they may still wanna try treating me for C. Diff even though my test was negative, because I was on broad spectrum antibiotics for quite awhile recently. Ugh. I hate worrying and I REALLY hate the burning in my stomach!

Park,
I'm a nutjob. Right now I'm eating two pieces of toast and put cranberry sauce on one. Now I'm trying to remember if I touched one piece with my hands because I'm on my tablet which is very dirty.
I hear some tests only show positive if you're currently experiencing the symptoms and we know that never works out.

Don't worry. I'm a nutjob too. If you know how many times I've washed my hands today.....yikes.

Park,
I just used some Listerine just in case. Lol
Do your hands get chapped from excessive washing this time of year?

My hands are a mess! I don't know why I continue to waste my money on manicures when I wash so often that they barely last two days! I'm trying to be better about
lotion because they feel soooo dry. I also have hand sanitizer and my purse and my car. And I never let anyone touch them. You wanna use my hand sanitizer, fine.
open your palm and I'll squirt it in, but you're not putting your germy paws on my sanitizer! ;)

Park,
My knuckles are so dried out. If anyone ever touches my phone, so I squirt sanitizer in their hands.

P.,
Your test results are fantastic news! Just give it some time to sink in...you are stressed right now, so your filter of things may be off.
My IBS symptoms are all.over the chart...never the same flare twice.
Follow up with what your doctor wants...but try to enjoy this feeling of relief as well.:)

Thanks SC! I keep trying to remind myself that this find of "nothing" is a good thing, but I keep getting scared that it only means something worse is hiding in there. Way to look on the bright side, right?

Park,
Don't view it as worse. I like to think worse is easier to find. There's something and we'll handle it when we find it.

I have to keep reminding myself that my doctor said that if there was something "catastrophic" aka "The Big C" going on, my bloodwork would have indicated it. I have to outsmart myself and use the logical part of my brain on this one.

Congrats on the negative test results.
Hopefully it's just the Ibs.
