Hibee,
By the way, since you're the go to mindfulness guy, I wanted to share with you what I did yesterday that helped me. I was lying in bed resting, waiting for my son to wake up from nap. My heart had been rapid all day, up around 105 and I couldn't get myself to do breathing exercises. They're very hard for me since hyperventilating is a HUGE problem for me. Anyway, I thought I'd try the mindfulness exercise that a previous therapist taught me. I chose a tree outside my window and I just sat there noticing it. I noticed the color and that some of the pine needles looked like they were glowing while some looked a much darker green. I noticed how the wind moved them around and how they looked sharp....I could go on, but you get it. Anyway, my heart went from 105 to 88. Does it sound like I did that little activity the right way based on what you know?
