Hi all,
Hope you're all getting ready for the Christmas chaos! Can't believe it's only two days away-- less in fact. Instead of posting a positive quote, I want to briefly touch upon the idea of self care. Today, my mother was stressing me out, and I felt myself getting tense as the anxiety crept its way into my body, and instead of letting it take its course, I channeled it into something different. I booked myself an at home 60 minute massage. A little Christmas present to myself. For 60 minutes I was in pure bliss as the masseuse worked out all of the kinks in my shoulders neck and back, and gave me some tips on how to stretch out tense muscles in those areas as well to prevent further problems. Yes, getting massages are an expensive habit and one that I cannot afford often, but it made me realize that I need to take care of myself more often. Whether it be a walk, a drive, a meditation, or a massage if the bank permits, the importance of self care cannot be forgotten. Instead of letting anxiety take control, revert that nervous energy into something positive for YOU. Indulge in taking care of your body. It feels great.
