Oh no! Well---I kind of have the perspective that since you invited them over, it shows that you probably do care about them. Sometimes wine/beer/liquor gives us a little more freedom of speech, so to speak. It sounds like it's going to be a tough dinner, but you can make it easier.... Here's my "advice" for ya! :D
-Drink a glass of wine before they come (to relax and un(wine)d :P
-Have a glass of wine for them when they arrive to get them to "relax" a bit more.
-Have a few positive conversation topics already thought up and ready to chat about. Try to think of one thing that each of them LOVE to talk about.
-Avoid any stressful topics. If any of them bring up a topic that isn't going well, change the subject with one of your "positive conversation topics." (places they'd like to visit?, places they've been?, what gifts did they receive at Christmas?, etc...)
-Be sarcastic and silly....in a funny way.
-Smile. Remember you don't see them often, and this time that you spend with them tonight will also be short lived.
K...you got this! You will do great! :D
