So Upset

My husband went to a football game today. He left at 10:30 to get to a noon game 10 min away. He is still not home. I've sent multiple messages and have not heard back from him. He said he'd be home shortly after the game. I'm starting to have trouble breathing and my heart is beating fast. It makes me so tense when he's had too much to drink and I'm afraid that's what's going on now. Why does he do things that make things worse for me? Makes me feel like he doesn't care. Trying to not freak out, but it's hard.

Oh MissGiGi..I have been exactly where you are!! I remember when I was pregnant my boyfriend would go snowmobiling with his friends and would leave around 11am and I wouldn't hear a thing from him until he's come stumbling in at 1am. My blood pressure was up all day with a pounding heart because of his behavior..I was so upset with him!! Thank god after she was born he's become so much better and much more considerate. I would just try laying down and do what you can to relax. You can't control what he does, you can only control how you respond to it.

I know HT. I thought of you when I posted this and I hope I didn't offend. I am by no means trying to paint all men with one broad stroke.

Is he home now MissGiGi? These situations always bring me back to being a kid when my dad use to go out and drink and my mom would be sitting at the window worried sick about him and we'd sit with her and worry right along! ..No wonder i'm an anxious mess now! lol. I would definitely talk to him tomorrow and set him straight and let him know that it's not ok and you won't deal with it! I did that with mine..packed all my stuff up one day & let him know that I won't deal with it anymore. He hasn't done it since! I'll be thinking of you tonight though and hope everything turns out ok, i'm sure it will!!

Same here HT. I wasn't referring to men either. Just sometimes spouses in general.

uggh my husband doesn't pull that crap anymore but when he did I lost all my worry for him and was just angry at his inconsiderate behavior. I never called to check up on him- wouldn't give him and his friends the satisfaction. I won't even talk about the things I wished on him.
