A few days ago I was sitting at my computer and all of a sudden had a very dull ache in my left lower back, around the kidney area. Instantaneously, as soon as I felt it, before I even had time to think anything of it, I had this sudden warm rushing feeling from head to toe. I stood up and felt a little lightheaded/offbalance and sat down on the couch. I started to notice my heartbeat seemed a bit stronger than normal so I took my BP.
It was around 170/130 at 95 BPM. I have never had this type of BP or sudden sensations before so decided I would drive down a few miles to the ER.
After getting into the car and leaving the house, I kept getting dizzier so I decided to instead stop at the Firehouse just down the street and was going to ask them to call me a ambulance. Once I got to the firehouse, the firemen on duty started asking my the typical questions and took my BP readings while the Medics were on their way. Once the medics arrived they hooked me up to a portal EKG machine and everything came back fine. They told me I probably just was dehydrated and needed more water and electrolytes. After talking with them for awhile I started to feel a little better and they asked if I still wanted togo to the ER, if not they were more than happy to have just given me a "free checkup" which was so nice of them. I told them I just live around the corner and if it gets worse I would call them. After I got home I was exhausted and took a nap.
For the last two days since then, I have just felt completely off. My limbs are slightly numb and my stomach keeps growling. Tonight, when I tried to go to bed, as soon as I start to relax, I started getting muscle spasms all over in my legs and arms accompanied by pins and needles over my entire body. If I get up and move around it seems to go away, yet I just feel weird still. As soon as I lay down, within 5 minutes it's all back again. It's like my body doesn't want me to sleep.
Edit: Also wanted to add that I am getting shaky hands and my jaw muscle is also having spasms/quivering.
Anyone had experience with anything like this? Could this be Anxiety? I'm so confused.
