I have no trouble getting to sleep...but if I wake up after falling asleep, it can spell trouble for me as well!
I used to have a lot more trouble...especially with waking up too early, and not being able to get back to sleep...but with progress with anxiety management in general, things have improved.
Have you tried a meditation app or sound wave therapy that you could have handy on your phone for the future?
Remember too to practice your coping skills before bed each night.
