I've had what appears to be anxiety for many years now but have never really taken long term anxiety meds, haven't seen psychologists and haven't had a proper evaluation on what sort of anxiety issue I have. I get panic attacks and have very real physical symptoms such as constant dull chest pain and tightness, stomach issues such as churning and indigestion and lots of burping, bad headaches located at my left temple, neck and muscle soreness, and just a general feeling of being unwell. I have hypochondria and always assume the worst whenever I feel this way, which is usually at some point everyday. It's silly, but I'm always afraid I have something horribly wrong with me and that I'm going to die... I have my first appointment with a psychologist in February but I'm wondering if I should go to the doctor before then to have tests done to rule out other issues and ease my mind. I don't even know what sorts of tests they would run. If anyone has any advice or experience on getting tests done for anxiety symptoms I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm a 25 y/o female by the way! Thanks!
