What're some of your experiences with IBS (if you have it)? Is there a direct connection btwn anxiety and IBS? I'm pretty sure I'm lactose intolerant- so I stay away from dairy as much as possible, but lately I have this dull and annoying pain sort of above by belly button. It comes and goes and always accompanies just an uneasy nausea feeling

IBS is so different for everyone. My best-friend has IBS with constipation and I have it with the big "D". It's under control right now, knock on wood! Symptoms for me are sudden cramping, urgency to get to the bathroom, having to go immediately after a meal.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. Been going to the bathroom multiple times a day. I also incorporated more fiber into my diet and more green veggies which supposedly increase output

IBS-D here. For me, it's explosive diarrhea shortly after eating. If nothing else, it helped me get over my fear of public restrooms.

I had dine the same thing, so I cut back and when it kept happening, I knew it was IBS. My GI doctor basically told me to manage my stress and my symptoms would go away. I started taking one Imodium every other day. Then after a few weeks I decided to just go without it and see if the "D" had stopped and it was gone! My doctor said taking Imodium on a regular basis is no problem, so maybe try that for a little bit. Sorry. It's such a bummer to deal with!

Not at all. They help with reflux, but not to stop the actual diarrhea.

I would think Tums would make the diarrhea worse, as IIRC, they're flavored with Sorbitol.
