Hello! You just replied to my post, and I've read a little of your experiences here.
What can I suggest? Well, I used to book a few days off here and there, and a week off here and there as annual holiday. The problem was, I was still feeling vexed during my holiday, unless I went away somewhere.
Me, living on my own, I think, makes it difficult to take my mind off things, but I remember thinking once or a few times, that 1 weeks holiday, wasn't enough. I'm wondering if you are able to take a two week holiday, book in advance, to go on holiday, or be at home and able to take a break of some sort, or do some things that you like to do.
I know sometimes it's hard even to take a break, thinking of the things still at work, but if there is any way of booking a holiday in advance, and planning before hand what you are going to do on the holiday it might help a little short term :) On and off at the moment, I feel a bit weird with the no job situation at the moment, but I think I am a lot more relaxed, or focused, now that I'm into week 3. I do think that maybe two weeks is a good break, though still hard, when you get back after a break.
I'd love to do something more flexible this time, maybe something, which maybe means a few days at the weekend sometimes, working, but a day off during the week, or something, which feels different.
I hope that it doesn't feel too tough on the next monday, I am similar on sundays, I tend to find it hard to relax if I know I have to go in, in the morning. I might be suited to a later in the day job, or a very early morning, finish early job.
Just thought I'd mention a few things, so that you know that sometimes change is possible, I'm lucky I have this paid break, before finding new employment.
Best Wishes! :)
