So for at least the last 12 years or so I randomly get this strange occurrence usually about an hour after I fall asleep. Basically I wake up with like no memory for 10-50 seconds..I have to think super hard what I did that day or sometimes where I am..which causes me to panic obviously. Even though I feel like I have no memory & everything is unfamiliar, ill jump out of bed and run to the bathroom-and I know where everything is. Like I said it always happens very shortly after falling asleep, and I do notice that it happens more if I fall asleep while anxious. Does anyone else get this or know what it is?

It's prob anxiety but have you been to a neurologist?

Ive been to a neurologist years ago for headaches..but I have a doctors appt tomorrow and am gonna talk to him to get me an appt with one

Gmoon, yes and occasionally i still do, seems to depend on how fatigued i am, i will never forget the worst
one, it's funny now but was not then, "i woke up and did not know where i was, i did not know who i was,
i didnt even know if i was an amoeba or what, it stayed with me a while, Peace

GM,

This happens on occasion for me...I don't lose all memory...mostly what day it is.

I think this is normal disorientation, and the more you panic, the less the memory is apt to come back.

Mention it to your doctor...but as long as all of you waking cognitive functions are fine, I am sure there's no need to worry.:)
