Hi TL and welcome.
I am sorry to hear about
this symptom you are currently suffering. I have had dizziness as an anxiety symptom, so I know how confusing and scary it can be.
First of all, if you feel like you need to have more of a medical evaluation to rule out any physical cause for this issue, then you should push for that. While anxiety can cause this (usually as a result of improper/amxious breathing) there are certainly medical issues that should also be eliminated.
Did your doctor diagnose you with anxiety, or have you had similar issues in the past?
If so, then likely you are dealing with a stress reated symptom, and your medication, along with some coping skills should help.
Have you started your Rx yet? It can take up to a few weeks for the theraputic level to be reached for this med, and the benefits to be noted, so be patient.
For now, here are some great stress-relieving exercises that should help bring down your overall anxiety level and symptoms. Practicing everyday will bring relief.
