Excuse my language but docs suck! Starting to get used to xanax and needing more to reach the same results, but doc refuses to prescribe klonopin. And after answering numerous online thyroid function questionaires and coming in between 10 and 25% function on everyone, doc keeps pointing to TSH level of 4.137 on scale of .5-5.0 and refuses to look into it further.

Off work last 2 days feeling like crap and made numerous calls both days looking for new internal medicine docs. None can get me in any sooner than 6 months and most cant get me in at all without a referral. Our health system is screwed up! Sorry for the rant, just needed to get it off my chest.

Hope all is well for everyone else. Though I havent been posting, I am reading and thinking of all of you. Youre all in my prayers.

Hi trader- I hear you on frustration with doctors! Occasionally you find one that really listens though. I have hashimotos and a tsh of almost 6 but dr says no need for medication. He says you only get anxiety problems with an overactive thyroid- but I read a study that said people with a thyroid antibody count, which I have, have a higher rate of pAnic disorder. I am currently trying to find a new thyroid doctor. Keep advocating for yourself to get the care you need!

I agree with you both, I am completely unhappy with my current pysch doc. He will not increase my lexapro, even though we have established thst the dose is too low. Every other halfway decent doc in the area is either not taking patients or has a waiting period of over half a year. So I'm stuck and just have to hope I get an increase soon but I won't hold my breath.

I hope that you get the answers and changes you need soon for your health care, Rx needs...and all.

Keep calling...sometimes you can get lucky with a cancellation.

Well I HATE docs and dentists! (Sorry your thread has nothing to do with dentists but I am pissed off right now!) Can't find a decent doc/dentist anywhere really. Can't stand people in the medical profession. They do treat us like ****!
