Cymbalta Question - Heart Palps and Insomnia

I started Cymbalta about 5 weeks ago - I started on 30mg for a week while weaning off of lexapro and then went to 60mg. I was feeling great except for being tired and a little shaky - i expected worse actually coming off of Lexapro.

Recently I am suffering from insomnia and heart palpitations(only when I lay down).

Is this normal and will it go away? I called my Psychiatrist about new issues and waiting to hear back.

I had a terrible experience with cymbalta.

I took it for about a year and ran out. I had moved on from the Dr. that prescribed it and my current doctor was on vacation. So I did without.

I had palpitations, dizziness, sweats, my blood pressure went up for a couple days. This took about 10 days to start. Then I started to have white noise so loud in my head I couldn't hear other sounds well. Like talking and tv. Then I had some strange thoughts. Foreign to me. It took a while six or eight weeks before the noise quieted back down and I thought this is a dangerous medication!

Hoping you hear back from your P-doc soon for peace of mind...but I would expect these s/e's during a transition.
