New on Cipralex,

Hi everyone, I'm newly diagnosed with GAD and slight depression, I've been put on Cipralex in the past 3 weeks, first started on 5mg, then upped to 10mg and then this past Saturday a week ago, upped to 15mg by my psychiatrist. I would just like to know whether the side effects of feeling irritable, slow, bad concentration, headaches and also still feeling a bit jittery and lightheaded is normal? I feel scared by these symptoms as I'm not sure if it's all to do with adjusting to the meds? I'm also on hypertension medication too, a diuretic based one.any advice and words of wisdom would be highly appreciated, I start work on monday and I'm feeling stressed about that. Thanks

Thanks for the reply, geez, I hope these symptoms alleviate soon, its tough feeling this way and still having to be functional at work and home. My Doctor upped my dose for me whilst in hospital, its been an adjustment, biggest part is the nausea, the tense feeling down my spine and the intrusive thoughts that come and go. The fatigue has let up a little, but then again, when I do try and sleep, I cant fall asleep although how tired I am.

One day at a time I suppose .....
