Does anybody else get these? If so can you share your experiences and what they feel like to you?
For me it feels like an electric jolt...sort of like the "jolted" feeling you get just as you're falling asleep and you have a dream that you're falling and it wakes you up sort of startled. But it obviously happens when I'm awake.

Blu's,
Is this from a med start up, discontinuation or change?

Nope. I initially got them when I first discontinued Zoloft, and then when I went back on it (about
3 years ago) they kind of stuck around.
Should I be worried?

It might be worth running by your doctor...
Not because you should be worried...
but because maybe you don't have to live with this s/e! There could be alternative Rx options that you could consider?

Agreed. I also don't take it at the same time everyday and often times accidentally skip medication...

Ah...Bingo! ;p
Try being more consistent...that should do the trick...and if not, then see about
an alternative if it is bothersome enough.
Best wishes!

Hi Blu
Yes I get head zaps and put it down to a side effect of the medication I take.
I agree with SC about
going to see your doctor as there might be a better alternative.
It is always important to take your medication at the same time each day otherwise depending on what medication you take you may experience withdrawal effects such as brain zaps as some antidepressants have a very short shelf life and I think Zoloft is one of those.

Sophie,
By zap, I'm going to define it as sudden, sharp pains in my head. Yes, I get those and I don't know why. It lasts a few seconds.
