sorry i am not around as much. will try. painful shoulders, hard to type. doc was dismissive and terse regarding my pain. just again gave me bs exercises to do. they help for like 5 minutes. for the first time in 10 years he upset me. i got anxious, starting pacing in his surgery. he got the pic that he upset me. i got the flu jab, but that is still throbbing a bit. standard. karen (getting by) suggested an accupressure mat. she says it sounds scary but is real good. will have a look see. sleep still defunct. cold, tired, you get it. got my therapist tuesday. hopefully there is enough $ in the account. sis says not to pay any bills to wednesday. mums care has been costing me. more than you know. my trip to be with D. will be much later than anticipated. i am keeping my mindset on positive focus-it is my foundation of reducing angst in all things. i am okay......but still NQR!!! emotionally tired. just want to give my darling a kiss and a hug. ok, this bloke has just mushy. my shell is crtacked, need urgent repairs!!! love ya's.

Sorry to hear about your aches, and that your doctor was not much in the way of helpful with some relief for you. I like GB's idea of the accupressure mat...or how about a foam roller? It is a column of hard foam that you can lie on with arms above your head for a really nice opening of the pectoral/trapezius/latissimus muslces.

You do what you need to do for now...you have your hands full with taking care of your family and stuff around your place...

Post when you can, taking care of you and yours first is always priority #1

I am sorry that your trip to see your fairer half is on delay.:( This makes me sad...and I wish things were different, and you were not apart.

Hey HT- I've been keeping a low profile too
Do you try topicals like Icy Hot, use heating pads, very hot showers to combat this shoulder pain? I know what you are going thru- my RA pain can be relentless. For whatever reason I do not respond well to prescrip pain meds.

I also have to say stress exacerbates the pain and it sounds like you have a lot of that in your life right now.

I can commiserate....my go to's right now are youtube mindful meditations and 5 mgs. of Melatonin 1 hr before bed.

Can your doc order physical therapy? I tore my rotater cuff and it really @! hurt. Then I went to PT without much faith but it really helped. I love the ultrasound treatment. I would walk out of there feeling better than ever yes it only lasts a few hours but man o man those few hours without pain were heaven. If your in pain you won't sleep well and quite frankly turtles need their hibernation or they get very ill.
Don't worry about money. I know it the hardest thing to do but have faith and you will find you have just enough to skate by even if you have juggle a few things. Things have a way of working out.
