I also wanted to mention that my doc suggested I up my dosage of Toprol (for pouding heart) and take another .25mg before going to bed but wondering if that's having anything to do with interrupted sleep.

Hmm...
Does sleeplessness appear as a possible s/e?
(or stomach upset, since these seem to be related for you?)
Did it directly coincide with your insomnia?

Hmm, I've been taking Toprol too and I haven't noticed any GI or sleep changes. If anything, when I wake in the middle of the night, my heart isn't racing the way it used to be.

Well you're probably right about
the Toprol because I also notice that when I wake I don't have the pounding heart so it's probably more related to the high anxiety and stomach issues. After I'm on the Prilosec for awhile (and stick to a bland diet) my stomach usually settles down so I'm hoping that will help the sleep issues also.
