My niece graduates May 12th and I still haven't recieved an invitation in the mail. She did post on facebook about
the time etc. But facebook? Don't people send out paper invitations now days? I don't get along with my sister and feel like I should of gotten and invite in the mail by now?

Not getting a invatation in time makes it difficult to buy a gift, perhaps if you acknowledge on facebook
that you are happy to attend and want to know what the niece needs. Peace

Alot of people don't send out paper invitations anymore, they do it on social media. I agree it is kind of lame to do it that way, but that is just how the times are now. I hope you still receive a paper invite, but don't count on it and don't hold it against your niece, I hope you go to her graduation and have a good time.

Sending traditional mail seems to be a lost art...
I also received a friend's son's graduation invite by group fb invite...
*sigh*

When I graduated I actually texted friends & family about
it. I agree with SC, sending out formal invites is a lost art. It's unfortunate.

Deborah, we recently missed my Great Granddaughter's Birthday, simply because they put it on facebook
and expected everyone to read it, I don't do facebook and they know it, the baby was just one and will not
remember that the wife and i were not present. "But the rest of my family now know's and will not assume
every one does it". Peace

Be the bigger person Deb. If your problems are with your sister only and not your niece get her a nice card and gift for graduation- send it via mail if you don't want to attend without a written invite. If your niece is as disrespectful as your sister- to hell with them both.
I am estranged from several family members because they are toxic and I have decided life's too short to have people like that in my life no matter who they are.

I think I will take that advice and send her a card and money and just forget about
it. Yes I had to let quite alote of toxic family members go. sad
