I am so sorry to hear about
your anxiety, and feelings of stress about
your extra curricular activities.
Sometimes dealing with the demands of life/the things we HAVE to do...
AND anxiety is simply all we have the energy and reserves for. Anything extra can just be too much to handle, right?
Have you talked about
this with your therapist? He/she knows you much better, and has a clearer picture than we do of course...and should be able to advise you between pushing past your anxiety and seeing this drama team through...
...or scaling down so you can fully and comfortably work on your anxiety management.
If he/she decides the latter is a better choice...then you will have your therapist in your corner when it is time to tell your parents that you want to pull back.
For now, I am going to post the link for our Resources. It is full of great self help coping skills that are easy and effective for lowering stress. Practice them daily, and see how they help.;)
