Sadly, Yes that is true. It can get worse before it gets better, usually side effects like increased anxiety and such wear off after the first couple of weeks, but for sure within the first month. I know it's hard to live with the side effects, but try to use your coping skills while you build up a therapeutic dose which is usually about 6 to 8 weeks. Yup, true story. I wanted to stop the Lexapro, because I was so anxious. It did level out for me though after a few weeks. I'm sorry you're experiencing this, because it certainly makes one feel uneasy.

I think the change to our chemicals just freaks us out. Hang in there, and keep posting. It helps me to get it out.
