I hate holiday weekends....

because it seems everyone is out and about camping and doing their thing and here I'm sitting on the couch wanting to sleep. It's always like this and it is why I dislike spring and summer.

I hear you, I feel the same way. I LOVE camping, but my body doesn't anymore. I can't handle sleeping in a tent and I have no money for a RV and everyone in my family goes camping all the time and I just sit home with my mom as she can't go camping anymore either. I miss camping, those days of doing nothing but sitting around the campfire, I miss the most.

Just know you aren't alone, we will get thru this weekend together. Maybe we can all meet in chat for a bit on Monday and have our own little party.

I just checked the weather forcast and it is supposed to rain all weekend. :-) Isn't that horrible, that I'm happy about that? Debbir downer here, sorry.

I've got my family coming over tomorrow for my oldest daughter's birthday celebration...

...let the manic cleaning and hostessing freak-out begin!!!

I am not the relaxed, kick back type when it comes to having people over...I always get into an over preparing frenzy...sheesh!

Hope all can find some peace this weekend! Positive focus.:)

S.C , I also get like that and it's very stressful to me, takes me days to recoup after they leave, lol.

Your feelings are normal in my book. I live on a road with a boat landing at the end, yet don't own a boat. If I had one, my disability wouldn't allow me to use it anyway. Feelings of jealousy and bitterness take over. I'm just thrilled I'm not working tomorrow.

I don't like holidays because people forget why we have the holiday and start BBQ and such. If people would remember why they are going to do all the stuff they get to do they forget why and forget all those who can't do it anymore.
Oh well. Maybe I'm irritated at the marachi band in my neighbors yard and it's loud and I work and it ain't the darn holiday yet this is just the preview. Good grief.

I have hated this holiday weekend. I just want to be home. I love the people we are visiting with all of my heart. Usually, I enjoy being here so much, and find it a nice little retreat. This weekend has been horrible due to the weather both here and at home.

On top of that, other family visited today with kids who don't mind, and aren't watched at all. It's made me so anxious and panicky.

I get to go home tomorrow. I get to go home tomorrow........

Just my 0.2 cents worth, have you ever asked a veteran what he pray's for most?

I will tell you we Pray for unending Peace, no more war, ever. I don't go to celebrations or any of that stuff
like a lot of you have mentioned, it's enough for me to be home in America. I do remember all the people
that didn't get to come home, "they are my hero's", Peace
