This is a common complaint here, many people deal with night time anxiety. I'm sorry about the nightmares, I don't really know what you can do about them. Are you on any medication that could have the side effect of nightmares?
Good job on watching a mindfulness video before bed, if you can watch one when you wake up anxious it should make going back to sleep easier.
