I'd go to the heart forum but all I'm ever told is "you're fine" "why do you worry?" "Do you WANT a diagnosis? " NO, I DONT. I'd just like some genuine answers to the questions I have about it and people's experiences. I know it isn't horrible, but everytime I get a palpitation or think about it, my anxiety spikes. I haven't had one person truly give me an answer when I ask a question about it...

I have it! I was diagnosed years ago after having sleep issues waking up in several times at night with a racing heart. I don't get palpitations too often anymore though. I have read that MVP can contribute to anxiety and panic attacks.

I have it Since birth. But it's not bad only sometimes I have chest pain.

I just get palpitations. Is dizziness a common thing with it too?

This is something I think I may have as well. I stated a while back that I was getting palpitations at physical therapy. They continue to happen, but only when I'm laying on my left side for certain exercises.

They have happened at home many times before, and only when on my left side. I just assumed it was anxiety before, but my anxiety is pretty well under control at this point. I don't usually get them unless I'm laying on the left side. Rarely, I'll get the ones in my throat if I move just right or am sitting in an odd position.

I plan to mention it to my doc soon. I have my surgery on the 26th, and wonder if it will cause any problems there. I'll mention it next week when I go to my pre-op appointment.

I have had it for 20 years and it is scary and it does add to my anxiety. Feels like your heart is skipping beats and fluttering and sometimes feels like you're breathing stops for a second or your heart stops but everything is fine you just have to go on and ignore it I know that's difficult but try your best and do your deep breathing relaxation and watch mindfulness videos they do Help.
