Zoloft Vivid Dreams, Sleep Issues

So I've been back on my Zoloft for about 2.5 weeks now and have noticed my sleep is waay out of whack and I've been having VERY vivid dreams. I'll sometimes have a key element out of a dream I'll have to stop and ask myself was it part of the dream or something I actually did (yes that life like). Also it will keep me awake until about 5 in the morn then I'm out like a rock.

Any one ever have this kind of stuff happen while on Zoloft?

Hi RandomGuy, I've been on Zoloft for 14 yrs. and can admit that it's not uncommon to be awakened suddenly by what I think will be sudden jolts of noises, etc. that I realize are just noises in my head. Don't know that my occasional vivid dreams have anything to do with the Zoloft, but I've taken it for so long...who knows.
Noticed you said "back on", just curious to know if anxiety symptoms were overwhelming when off the Zoloft?????? I'm currently weaning off for the first time in 14yrs. Would love to know other's experiences with this.

Felt like I had way more energy when off Zoloft. Now my energy comes from being OCD about everything.

Hi

A lot of AD can cause vivid dreams as a side effect I would check the leaflet that came with your medication to see if it is listed and if it is a real problem discuss with your doctor.

I had it with Lexapro. I think it's just our brain's chemicals trying to get back into balance. It should pass after some time. I still get weird dreams, but they aren't as vivid, and lifelike anymore.

Hang in there, because the end result will be worth it.
